2017 Reading Plan: Part 3

21. The Zookeeper’s Wife by Diane Ackerman — I explained more in my post a while back (which is totally irrelevant now because I’m a slacker and didn’t read the book fast enough). I’m on hold for this book at the library because the copy I had checked out was due and I do not want anymore late fees with them. Anyway, I was about halfway done, so this review should be coming soon.

22. Talking As Fast As I Can by Lauren Graham — Another book I had checked out but had to return because I didn’t read it fast enough (I didn’t even start this one). But I love Gilmore Girls, so naturally I would want to read this book.

23. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher — I read this book in almost one sitting. It was a reread for me, but even so, it’s a fast read. I wanted a refresher for when I watched the Netflix series of the same name. You can find my book review here and my book-to-screen review here.

24. Dad is Fat by Jim Gaffigan — A hilarious memoir written by a sarcastic comedian about his experiences in parenthood. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a laugh. I read this book with the Solly Baby Book Club. You can find my review here.

25. The Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling — A reread just because.

26. At Home in the World by Tsh Oxenreider — Another memoir about a women who ventures on a trip around the world with her husband and their three children. It’s inspiring in the sense that I want proof that it’s possible to travel with my kids. You can read my review here.

27. Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery — My plan was to read this before Anne with an E came on Netflix (or at least before the hype for it was up). But that ship has long since sailed. I will still reread this book, though, because it’s a childhood favorite and I need something sweet. Maybe I’ll still get to a book-to-screen review…just no one will care.

28. A Room with a View by E.M. Forster — I guess authors who go by their initials is the theme this year. This was another reread and another Solly Baby Book Club read. I forgot how much of a “feminist-movement” book this is. I also forgot how funny it is. It made me want to watch the movie, which I still want to do. You can find my review here.

29. The Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling — see 25.

30. The Vile Village by Lemony Snicket — I am still trekking through A Series of Unfortunate Events. I have enjoyed the books immensely and have well since passed where I left off as a kid. The mystery continues and I can’t wait to finish it. You can read my review here.
